Chipotle Crema

You need this. I put this sh_t on everything. You could put this on an old sock and that would be the best old sock you’ve had, ever. I use it in a LOT of taco recipes. It just adds a wonderful little bit of creaminess and heat to everything. It’s also great on non-taco or sock related foods. So put this in your wheelhouse.

What you’ll need -

Sour cream - 8-10oz

1-2 Chipotles in adobo - use 2 if you wanna bring the heat.

1 tsp cumin

1 small garlic clove or 1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tbsp lime juice

1-3 tbsp water

Throw the ingredients in the blender. Blend, taste, adjust. Repeat. The water will allow it to blend easier, and help if you want to put it in a squirt bottle. Start with a tablespoon and just add until it gets the consistency you want. If you’re worried about the heat, start with 1/2 of a chipotle. You can always add. Apply that rule all the time when you’re trying new recipes. You can always add. But subtracting, not so much. Needs a bit more water, more lime? Do it. Start low and add if it’s missing anything. But don’t throw in 2 huge chipotles and then blame me if it’s too hot.
